Cancel the Knighthood of Trevor Mallard

In a disgusting insult to the citizens of our country the former speaker of the house who ruled Parliament with arrogance, insults and embarrassing behaviour has been awarded a knighthood by the previous Labour Government and endorsed by the current coalition of National, Act and NZ First.

Mallard is nothing but a bully an arrogant egotistical one at that. He has no concept of Democracy and simply does not fill the criteriafor such a position.

It is impossible for Trevor Mallard to represent New Zealand and its good people anywhere in the world. When the people came to Parliament to speak to the government, he, Trevor Mallard terrorized the peaceful crowd with loud music, police brutality and flooding the grounds. What makes his behaviour more reprehensible, is that he did this at a time when the city was under water restrictions. He MUST be stripped of his Knighthood. One would have hoped he would have declined it knowing very well that he didn’t deserve it. But then, again, to do this a person needs to have a conscience. Trevor Mallard lacks that!

Mallard should not receive a knighthood. His behaviour during the Wellington protest was absolutely disgraceful. He should be publicly shamed for his action against the peaceful protesters. Very unbecoming of a Speaker of Our New Zealand Parliament.
